Wikstroemia ovata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kalimantan hingga Filipina. Nama ilmiah Wikstroemia ovata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Anton von Meyer pada tahun 1843.
