Wikstroemia phymatoglossa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Nansei-shoto (Amami-gunt?). Nama ilmiah Wikstroemia phymatoglossa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gen-ichi Koidzumi pada tahun 1928.
