Wolffiella oblonga merupakan tumbuhan air (hidrofit) dari famili Araceae (suku talas-talasan) yang hidup semusim. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis dan subtropis Amerika . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan saber bogmat. Nama ilmiah Wolffiella oblonga pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Rodolfo Amando Philippi pada tahun 1895.
