Wyethia amplexicaulis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian barat dan barat-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mule-ears. Nama ilmiah Wyethia amplexicaulis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thomas Nuttall pada tahun 1840.
