Xanthoceras sorbifolium merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China bagian utara dan timur-tengah hingga Korea. Nama ilmiah Xanthoceras sorbifolium diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexander Andrejewitsch von Bunge pada tahun 1834.
