Xanthosoma poecile merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Araceae (suku talas-talasan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Santa Catarina). Nama ilmiah Xanthosoma poecile pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Wilhelm Schott pada tahun 2012.
