Xerochrysum frutescens merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Queensland tenggara hingga New South Wales timur laut. Nama ilmiah Xerochrysum frutescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jeremy James Bruhl pada tahun 2022.
