Xerophyta capillaris merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Angola. Nama ilmiah Xerophyta capillaris diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1878.
