Xerophyta elegans adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mpumalanga timur hingga KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Xerophyta elegans diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Hutton Balfour pada tahun 1875.
