Xerophyta equisetoides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Xerophyta equisetoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1875.
