Xiphotheca canescens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Xiphotheca canescens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1993.
