Xyris sororia merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Xyridaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil tenggara dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Xyris sororia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1843.
