Xyris trachyphylla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Xyridaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur. Nama ilmiah Xyris trachyphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1841.
