Zanthoxylum dipetalum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Rutaceae (suku jeruk-jerukan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan kawa'u. Nama ilmiah Zanthoxylum dipetalum diperkenalkan oleh Horace Mann Jr. pada tahun 1866.
