Zinnia flavicoma merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Meksiko tengah dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Zinnia flavicoma diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1971.
