Ziziphora persica merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Krym, Türkiye, hingga Asia tengah. Nama ilmiah Ziziphora persica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alexander Andrejewitsch von Bunge pada tahun 1873.
