Zygia pithecolobioides merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Argentina bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Zygia pithecolobioides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ernst Otto Kuntze pada tahun 1997.
