Zygopetalum maculatum subsp. triste merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk umbi semu (pseudobulbous). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil (Minas Gerais). Nama ilmiah Zygopetalum maculatum subsp. triste pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis João Barbosa Rodrigues pada tahun 2020.
