Agropyron repens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Nama ilmiah Agropyron repens diperkenalkan oleh Ambroise Marie François Joseph Palisot de Beauvois pada tahun 1812. Nama ini merupakan sinonim dari Elymus repens.
