Leersia hexandra Sw.

Kalamenta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh pada genangan air (helofit). Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Leersia hexandra ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan southern cutgrass. Nama ilmiah Leersia hexandra diperkenalkan oleh Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1788.
