Populus × canescens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Salicaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa hingga Xinjiang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan gray poplar. Nama ilmiah Populus × canescens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Aiton pada tahun 1804.
