Shorea robusta adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dipterocarpaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari anak benua India hingga Tibet tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sal tree. Nama ilmiah Shorea robusta diperkenalkan oleh Karl Friedrich von Gaertner pada tahun 1805.
