Cleome viscosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Cleomaceae yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis Afrika, Eropa dan Asia. Nama ilmiah Cleome viscosa diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
