Acanthostachys pitcairnioides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Bromeliaceae (suku nanas-nanasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil timur laut (hingga Espírito Santo). Nama ilmiah Acanthostachys pitcairnioides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Christian Mez pada tahun 1983.
