Acer heldreichii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Semenanjung Balkan (daerah pegunungan). Nama ilmiah Acer heldreichii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Theodoros G. Orphanides pada tahun 1856.
