Acourtia moschata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Acourtia moschata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Juan José Martinez de Lexarza pada tahun 1838.
