Aechmea floribunda merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Bromeliaceae (suku nanas-nanasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro). Nama ilmiah Aechmea floribunda pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1830.
