Agave rigida merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asparagaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering. Nama ilmiah Agave rigida diperkenalkan oleh Philip Miller pada tahun 1768. Nama ini merupakan sinonim dari Agave angustifolia var. angustifolia.
