Agave scabra adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asparagaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Nikaragua. Nama ilmiah Agave scabra pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Casimiro Gómez Ortega pada tahun 1797.
