Amaranthus scleranthoides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Galápagos. Nama ilmiah Amaranthus scleranthoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nils Johan Andersson pada tahun 1857.
