Artemisia grandis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Himalaya barat. Nama ilmiah Artemisia grandis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Renato Pampanini pada tahun 1927.
