Asparagus aethiopicus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asparagaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape hingga North-West Province. Nama ilmiah Asparagus aethiopicus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1770.
