Astilbe thunbergii var. riparia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Saxifragaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Jepang selatan (Kagoshima Pref.). Nama ilmiah Astilbe thunbergii var. riparia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Sumihiko Hatusima pada tahun 1968.
