Astragalus praelongus var. lonchopus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Utah hingga New Mexico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan stinking milkvetch. Nama ilmiah Astragalus praelongus var. lonchopus diperkenalkan oleh Rupert Charles Barneby pada tahun 1960.
