Atriplex centralasiatica var. megalotheca merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Asia tengah hingga China utara. Nama ilmiah Atriplex centralasiatica var. megalotheca pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Mikhail Grigoríevič Popov pada tahun 1979.
