Atriplex torreyi merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Amerika Serikat barat daya. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan torrey's saltbush. Nama ilmiah Atriplex torreyi diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Sereno Watson pada tahun 1874.
