Atriplex tularensis merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California selatan-tengah (Kern Lake bed). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan tulare saltbush. Nama ilmiah Atriplex tularensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frederick Vernon Coville pada tahun 1893.
