Australopyrum calcis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Pulau Selatan Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Australopyrum calcis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Eamonn Connor pada tahun 1993.
