Begonia peltata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Begoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga Honduras. Nama ilmiah Begonia peltata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christoph Friedrich Otto pada tahun 1841.
