Blitum bonus-henricus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Eropa. Nama ilmiah Blitum bonus-henricus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Heinrich Gottlieb Ludwig Reichenbach pada tahun 1832.
