Bursera simplex merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Burseraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko (Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Bursera simplex pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jerzy Rzedowski pada tahun 2006.
