Carex chlorostachys merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Nama ilmiah Carex chlorostachys pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian von Steven pada tahun 1813.
