Chamaecrista newtonii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Angola. Nama ilmiah Chamaecrista newtonii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Francisco de Ascencão Mendonça pada tahun 1988.
