Chenolea diffusa merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Amaranthaceae (suku bayam-bayaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mozambique selatan hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Chenolea diffusa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1781.
