Chromolaena corymbosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Karibia hingga French Guiana. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan caribbean thoroughwort. Nama ilmiah Chromolaena corymbosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jean Baptiste Christophore Fusée Aublet pada tahun 1970.
