Chromolaena hypodictya merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Chromolaena hypodictya diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Benjamin Lincoln Robinson pada tahun 1981.
