Clematis socialis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Ranunculaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Alabama timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan alabama leather flower. Nama ilmiah Clematis socialis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Kral pada tahun 1982.
