Clinopodium menthifolium subsp. ascendens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Macaronesia, Eropa hingga Türkiye. Nama ilmiah Clinopodium menthifolium subsp. ascendens diperkenalkan oleh Claude Thomas Alexis Jordan pada tahun 1999.
