Comarostaphylis mucronata merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Guanajuato hingga Hidalgo utara). Nama ilmiah Comarostaphylis mucronata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Friedrich Klotzsch pada tahun 1851.
