Cryptanthus bromelioides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Bromeliaceae (suku nanas-nanasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Rio de Janeiro). Nama ilmiah Cryptanthus bromelioides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christoph Friedrich Otto pada tahun 1836.
